It was a pathetic week.
In terms of exercise that is.
In terms of everything else, it was bloody darned terrific!
So yeah. You win some and you lose some.
It’s the late nights that are killing me. My most productive hours are between 11 pm and 1:30 am. I then pass out on top of whatever I am doing.
The alarm rings at 5:30 am (the latest I can afford to wake up if I wish to hit the road/ track/ park), and most days I don’t make it.
I know, I know.
I am not supposed to make excuses.
It’s all in the mind.
It’s mind over matter.
If I want to, I will.
I SHOULD be able to find the time.
Even if it’s 15 minutes a day….
Blah, blah, blah….
I just can’t.
I am not sure why, but it’s just not like the old days.
There was a time, when I woke at 4:45 am; 6 days a week. And did 60 km a week, minimum!
Last, week I ran thrice. Not more than 25 km in total.
Me thinks it’s pretty pathetic.
Mr H thinks I should slow down.
What do you folks think?
Twice this past week, I went shopping with Zoe. Mall hopping, for about four hours each day. Baby wearing the entire time.
Does walking non- stop for three- four hours, with 16- 17 pounds strapped on you (with occasional reps of prolonged rectus abdominis contraction:-)) count as exercise?
I hope it does 😉 . (Because to me it was more exhausting than a half- marathon.)
In short, I can trick myself into believing that I worked out five days this past week. Suddenly doesn’t sound so bad eh?
Anyhoo, here’s hoping this online journal serves as motivation.
Please do share your work- out tips and tricks, if you have any.
Even if you are an utter sloth, who can’t seem to get her/ his arse unglued from the chair, please do lie and make- up fantastic sounding, enviable, muscle- ripping schedules and exercise stories please! I need the inspiration.
Hope to work on my core tomorrow… Sigh!
Till next time…
