And here we go again, ladies! The year is already a month old and it has brought with it a slew of surprises; some pleasant and some nasty. (We shall get into that another day.) It’s time for my current crushes. This month’s favorites are few but are true favorites. They are things that I use/ enjoy almost everyday.
1. Making it my own!
Suddenly, I want my stamp on everything. I want engraved rings and pens, monogrammed bags, custom- made key rings, personalized planners….you get my drift. It’s my current obsession!
2. Keep it short and simple please! Lotus Safe Sun Daily Multi- Function Sunblock.
This is a tinted- moisturizer plus sunblock in one tube, it’s three steps in one. Best part? It isn’t insanely expensive!
3. Chic-lit marathon.
On a women- protagonist based, women- authored book fest. Light reads, nothing fancy.
4. The layering trend continues- The Body Shop White Musk Libertine Eau De Toilette.
To be honest, this hardly lasts a couple of hours on me and I’m usually not a fan of purely musky fragrances. But I like how this smells and I layer it over some of my long lasting scents. It works great when layered.
5. No- rinse make-up remover- Bioderma Sensibio H2O Make- up Removing Micelle Solution.
Does what it promises. Hence Dr J approved.
6. Beverage freak me- Twinings Gunpowder Green Tea and Mint
I have no strong preference when it comes to tea, coffee and milk (malt/ chocolate/ almond/ soy)- I drink’em all! I am slightly partial to this though, currently…
7. Surprisingly good- Real Techniques Core Collection Brushes
Have been wanting to try them for a while now. Especially now, that MAC and other cosmetic brands have gone loco with their prices. These are great quality brushes that don’t break your bank.
8. Worth the hype- Loreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara.
This one seems quite the rage in the beauty- blogging community. I understand the hype, and I do like it. But it still falls short (not by much though) of my favorite mascara (The Falsies!).
9. Watching Season 7 of The Mentalist.
The Mentalist has lost it’s steam after the Red John story fizzled out. It is getting a bit predictable and tedious. But after sticking by Lisbon and Jane for almost 7 years now, I can’t seem to abandon them! I curl up in bed every week, and sneak in an hour of my Simon Baker and Tim Kang fix at 2 am!
That’s about it for the month of January folks. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Till next time..
